Table with crossed legs too

18mm phenolic ply, 2004

The ‘Table with crossed legs too’ is a reworking of my first ever furniture design project Table with crossed legs.

The change from laser cutting to CNC routing production is a attempt to improve some of the tolerance & production issues which existed previously. The new cutting method had necessitated a reassessment of the jointing connection of the various parts, but despite an apparently complex cutting pattern the final piece reveals no indication of its production method, thus creating a more subtle & less obvious version of the original.
