Oak structure, linoleum covered birch ply tabletop. July 2015.
A commission for a kitchen/dining table to replace an old family heirloom circular table that was proving a bit on the small side.
Designed to seat up to 6 people, but also feel for a couple to sit together at one end.
A large central drawer runs between the leg assemblies at either end and can be pulled out from both sides of the table. Cutlery one side perhaps and placemats and stationary the other?
Each pair of legs is glued as an assembly incorporating the rails of the table and runner for the drawer that is bolted into inserts on the underside of the table.
The legs are square in section with a larger radius to one edge.
